端末（たんまつ、英: terminal ターミナル）とは、 * 回線やネットワークの「末端」に接続され、他の機器と通信を行う「主体となる」機器のこと。ネットワークや通信システムの中には、通信を中継する機器、集約する機器、分配する機器などがあるわけだが、それらの中継・集約・分配のための機器と対比して用いられている用語・概念。 * 情報機器の一種で、通信回線などを通じて他のコンピュータなどに接続し、もっぱら情報の入力やなどをする機器のこと。
