thumb|Tesys D Schneider Electric Contactor A contactor is a type of relay (electrically operated switch) with high power rating (current rating and voltage rating). Contactors usually refer to devices switching more than 15 amperes or in circuits rated more than a few kilowatts. Contactors are typically used to control electric motors (combination motor starters), lighting, heating, capacitor banks, thermal evaporators, and other electrical loads. The physical size of contactors ranges from a device small enough to pick up with one hand, to large devices approximately a meter on a side.

接触器（Contactor），指利用线圈流过电流产生磁场，使触头闭合，以达到控制负载的电器。因為可快速切斷交流與直流主迴路和可頻繁地接通與大電流控制（某些型別可達800安培）電路的裝置，所以經常運用於電動機做為控制對象，也可用作控制工廠設備、電熱器、工作母機和各樣電力機組等電力負載，並作為遠距離控制裝置。
