==Taxonomy== The order was established in 2007 by Swedish mycologist Karl-Henrik Larsson, based on molecular phylogenetic research. It includes the Corticiaceae (the type family) as well as the Dendrominiaceae, Punctulariaceae, and Vuilleminiaceae.
