Alain Bernardin opens the original Crazy Horse Paris cabaret at the prestigious 12 avenue George V, in the heart of the Golden Triangle, opposite couture houses YSL and Givenchy and next door to Balenciaga. Bernardin integrates elements of the New Wave, New Realism and Pop Art movements into his creations, taking modernity in his stride and continually redeveloping his show to reflect these cultural changes. Miss Candida took her bath on the Crazy Horse stage more than 500 times some 50 years before Dita Von Teese paid tribute to her in a cover number called "Le Bain". A unique and new genre featuring naked women dressed by light in acts inspired by current events. The pop-art movement inspired Crazy Horse Paris to create a number of acts. Crazy Horse Paris, temple of burlesque in Paris, sees its shows evolve after the legalization of the integral nude. While they used to have to wear spikes to hide their pubes, the dancers now perform their shows completely naked. A wanton nun is staged by Alain Bernardin, the founder of Crazy Horse Paris. The number, entitled "The nun", performed by the dancer Frenchy Lunatic, creates a scandal and must be immediately removed from the poster of the famous Parisian cabaret. Twelve beauties, in high boots and Bearskin Hats, Royal horse guards with a twist, marching in military step, looking neither left nor right, in a strictly regimented, superbly timed, number. This world-famous opening scene, mounted with the help of an authentic officer of the British Royal Guard, is the trademark of the house and has opened all Crazy Horse Paris shows since 1989! For its 40th anniversary, Crazy Horse Paris opens a second permanent show at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, performed successfully for 11 years. The Bernardin family sell the Crazy Horse group to Belgian entrepreneur Philippe Lhomme, who puts in place a new management team, headed by Andrée Deissenberg. The new management sees Crazy Horse Paris as a legendary brand with a valuable artistic know how : celebrating women and the female form through unusual and surprising creations in line with the artistic heritage. Their challenge is place creativity at the core of the cabarets activities once again and to create new, surprising shows First "Guest star" of the legendary Parisian cabaret, the international diva Dita Von Teese performs for the first time on the Crazy Horse stage. She presents her version of the famous number "The Bath", presented for the first time at Crazy Horse Paris by Miss Candida in 1954. Crazy Horse dancers Nooka Caramel and Baby Light participate in the "FETISH" series, in collaboration with American filmmaker David Lynch and shoe designer Christian Louboutin. Actress , muse, singer and gay icon, she performed select songs from her album "C'est si bon” in the pure Crazy tradition ! For Valentine's Day 2008, Pamela Anderson performed on the stage of Crazy Horse Paris. Incarnation of the feminine sex appeal, the star of the series Baywatch offers to the public of the Parisian cabaret an unforgettable striptease on a Harley Davidson. Three years after her first steps, the international diva of burlesque and glamour reinterprets her sensual number "The Bath " and marks the public with "Teese'ing", her personal interpretation of Crazy Horse's "Teasing" act. French star choreographer Philippe Decouflé is asked to expand the cabaret’s repertoire. The result is a show called Désirs, which opened to rave reviews on 21 September 2009.
