Tenor saxophonist, David Sanchez, was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, began playing percussion and drums before discovering tenor sax several years later. As a student of La Escuela Libre de Musica in San Juan, he subsequently became proficient with the soprano and alto saxophone, as well as with clarinet and flute.
