Değirmençay (formerly Erçel) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Yenişehir, Mersin Province, Turkey. Its population is 868 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (belde).

== Geography == The town is in the rural area of Yenişehir district which itself is an intracity district of Mersin. It is situated in the Toros Mountains with an average elevation of 600 m (1830 ft). It is relatively close to plains and the Mediterranean Sea coast.
