Die Densitometrie ist die quantitative Messung der Farbdichte (Volltondichte), d. h. der Farbmenge pro Flächeneinheit. Dabei werden Tonwerte, aber keine Farbtöne bestimmt. Die Densitometrie wird in der Fotografie und der Reproduktionstechnik verwendet, u. a. zur Qualitätssicherung.
