==Taxonomy== Erast Parmasto first described Dentocorticium in 1968 as a section of Laeticorticium, a defunct genus that was classified in the Corticiaceae. Dentocorticium was raised to generic status by M.J. Larsen and Robert Lee Gilbertson in 1974.
