Diego Ormaechea (Montevideo, 19 settembre 1959) è un allenatore di rugby a 15 ed ex rugbista a 15 uruguaiano, in carriera attivo come terza linea centro e internazionale per il Uruguay di cui è stato capitano. Da allenatore è stato commissario tecnico della Uruguay e nel 2019 è stato inserito nella World Rugby Hall of Fame, primo uruguaiano a ricevere l'onorificenza. Nella vita privata è veterinario e ha tre figli di cui ha partecipato al mondiale 2019.
