L’édifice Price ressemble au Chrysler Building construit quelques mois plus tôt et à l’Empire State Building, mis en chantier la même année. Mais tant de modernité dérange dans le plus vieux quartier de Québec. Autour du gratte-ciel, rares sont les édifices qui excèdent quatre ou cinq étages. La Commission d’urbanisme et de conservation de la Ville de Québec s’est d’ailleurs opposée au projet. En vain.
