Efteling è il più vasto parco di divertimento dei Paesi Bassi, e si trova a Kaatsheuvel (sede municipale del comune di Loon op Zand). Inaugurato nel 1952, è uno dei parchi divertimenti più antichi al mondo e, da allora, ha accolto oltre 100 milioni di visitatori. Nel 1992 Efteling ha ricevuto il premio IAAPA Applause Award come Miglior Parco Divertimenti del Mondo. In origine il parco era pensato per i bambini con una tematica fiabesca. In oltre cinquanta anni di attività il parco si è evoluto da parco naturale con zona dedicata ai giochi e foresta incantata a un vero e proprio parco a tema di grandi dimensioni sull'esempio di Disneyland. È tre volte più grande rispetto al primo parco Disney originale e fu aperto tre anni prima. Attualmente, Efteling attrae sia giovanissimi che adulti con la sua ampia gamma di offerte culturali, romantiche e nostalgiche.
