embracer.com →Embracer Group is a global group of creative and entrepreneurial businesses, built around talented teams, strong owned and controlled IPs, and specialist capabilities across games and entertainment. The group engages over 6,000 people and has a portfolio of more than 400 owned and controlled IPs. This breadth provides a strong foundation for disciplined capital allocation, operational resilience and long-term value creation, while supporting the group’s continued strategic evolution. Embracer Group now intends to separate the group into two publicly listed companies, through the spin-off of Fellowship Entertainment in 2027, to further increase management focus to capture the full potential of the valuable or strategic assets and IPs within the group. We believe in empowering great people to make their own decisions. Our shared and inclusive entrepreneurial mindset is our collective driving force. We’re in it together. Our shared knowledge enables synergies through collaborations across our ecosystem. We’re true to ourselves and believe that different perspectives make us stronger. It all started with a 13-year-old boy selling used comic books from his home in Värmland, Sweden. Video games are great, but for Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors, it all began with used comic books. Growing up in the countryside and in need of cash, he started his first business when he was in primary school and ran Sweden’s largest used comics business by the time he was 15. That’s when he took notice of some second-hand Nintendo games and that’s when everything changed. With its head office based in Karlstad, Sweden, Embracer Group has a global presence through its operative groups: THQ Nordic, PLAION, DECA Games, Dark Horse, Freemode and Crystal Dynamics – Eidos. The Group includes 53 internal game development studios and engages over 6,000 talents across nearly 30 countries.
