EPCOT ist einer von vier Themenparks im Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake (Florida) in der Nähe von Orlando. Eigentümer und Betreiber ist die Walt Disney Company über ihren Geschäftsbereich Parks, Experiences and Products. Inspiriert von einem nicht realisierten Konzept von Walt Disney, wurde der Park am 1. Oktober 1982 als EPCOT Center eröffnet und war nach dem Magic Kingdom der zweite Park des Resorts. Mit einer Fläche von ca. 120 Hektar ist Epcot doppelt so groß wie der Magic Kingdom Park. Der Park widmet sich menschlicher Errungenschaften, vor allem technischen Innovationen und internationaler Kultur, und wird auch als "permanente Weltausstellung" bezeichnet. Aufgeteilt ist Epcot in zwei große Bereiche, der Future World nördlich und dem World Showcase südlich des Sees. Der Park wird durch Spaceship Earth, eine geodätische Kugel, repräsentiert. Im Jahr 2019 zählte Epcot 12,444 Millionen Gäste und war damit der viertmeistbesuchte Themenpark in Nordamerika und der siebtmeistbesuchte Themenpark der Welt. Im Jahr 2020 erreichte Epcot aufgrund der Covid-19-Pandemie nur eine Besucherzahl von 4,044 Millionen Besuchern.
