L'Atmosphere Explorer E (AE-E), a volte citato anche come Explorer 55, è stato un satellite NASA, lanciato il 20 novembre 1975 dalla base aerea di Cape Canaveral. L'AE-E faceva parte della serie di satelliti "Atmosphere Explorer", appartenente al Programma Explorer, e fu messo in orbita con lo scopo di studiare la termosfera.
