By road, Faaborg is located southwest of Odense, west-northwest of Svendborg, and roughly southeast of Middelfart, depending upon the route. It has a population of 6,763 (1 January 2025). With its busy port, narrow streets and attractive old houses, the town is popular with tourists, particularly in the summer months. Faaborg was formerly the seat of Faaborg municipality. Faaborg o Fåborg es una ciudad danesa de 7.249 habitantes (2013) situada en la isla de Fionia. Es la mayor localidad del municipio de Faaborg-Midtfyn, en la región administrativa de Dinamarca Meridional. Faaborg se localiza en la costa sur de la isla, en el fiordo de Faaborg y frente al archipiélago del sur de Fionia. Está rodeada por una zona de colinas conocidas popularmente como los alpes fionianos.
