Farida Parveen is known as the queen of lalon songs. Lanon songs are a kind of folk songs from Bangladesh and Bengali areas. Farida Parveen was born in 1954 in Natore, Bangladesh and was brought up in Kushtia. In 1968 she was enlisted with Rajshahi Betar as a Nazrul singer.
