Fernando Alonso (born July 29, 1981) is a Spanish racing driver currently competing in Formula One for Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team. He is the 2005 and 2006 Formula One World Champion, having won these titles with Renault. He made his F1 debut at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix for Minardi. After becoming Renault's test driver in 2002, he was promoted to a seat at the team the following season, replacing Jenson Button.
