耐火建築物（たいかけんちくぶつ）とは、建築基準法における概念である。通常の火災時の火熱に対し、主要構造部が非損傷性と延焼防止の性能をもち、火災の規模によっては一部を修繕すれば再利用できるような建築物で、建築基準法第2条第1項第9号の2で定める条件に適合するものいう。 この一つ下の概念としてがある。耐火建築物は全て準耐火建築物でもあり、準耐火建築物であることを求められる場合、耐火建築物であれば足りる。 法令上は、建築物の用途と規模に応じて耐火建築物とすることが要求される。
