7.0Owen Thursday sees his new posting to the desolate Fort Apache as a chance to claim the military honour which he believes is rightfully his. Arrogant, obsessed with military form and ultimately self-destructive, he attempts to destroy the Apache chief Cochise after luring him across the border from Mexico, against the advice of his subordinates.

Fort Apache (en Venezuela, Fuerte Apache; en Argentina y en Chile, Sangre de héroes) es una película de 1948 dirigida por John Ford, con John Wayne y Henry Fonda como actores principales. Es la primera película de la Trilogía de la caballería, que completan La legión invencible (1949) y Río Grande (1950). Fue una de las primeras películas en reflejar simpatía y respeto por los nativos americanos.
