historischer Nachfolgestaat des weströmischen Reiches
Francia was the largest post-Roman kingdom in Western Europe, founded by King Clovis I in the late 5th century when he united Frankish tribes and expanded into Roman Gaul. It matters because it became the longest-lasting Germanic kingdom of its era, eventually evolving into the Carolingian Empire in 800 and shaping the political landscape of medieval Europe.
