Frank John Gorshin, Jr. (April 5, 1933 – May 17, 2005) was an American actor and comedian. He was perhaps best known as an impressionist, with many guest appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show (with host Steve Allen). Frank John Gorshin Jr. (April 5, 1933 – May 17, 2005) was an American actor, comedian and impressionist. He made many guest appearances on television variety and talk shows, including The Ed Sullivan Show, Tonight Starring Steve Allen, The Dean Martin Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
As an actor, he played the Riddler on the live-action television series Batman and was nominated for an Emmy Award for the performance.

Along with obviously being a singer, Frank Gorshin was also known for being a remarkable impressionist and an actor. In the original Batman television show, Frank Gorshin played the role of the Riddler. This also spawned his song simply titled "The Riddler."
