==Name origin== The name Gannavaram is based on the traditional Sanskrit words "Ganna" meaning Sugarcane and "varam" meaning 'blessing'. Historically Gannavaram used to be a primarily sugarcane-producing establishment. Hence named Gannavaram, 'blessed with sugarcane'.
