Geography is the study of Earth's lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena, seeking to understand not just where things are located but how they have developed and changed over time. Because it bridges natural science and social science, geography provides a comprehensive way to understand Earth's human and natural complexities.

A primeira pessoa a usar a palavra γεωγραφία foi Eratóstenes (276–194 aC).
