Georgetown è una città degli Stati Uniti d'America, nella contea di Scott, nello Stato del Kentucky. La popolazione stimata nel 2019 era di 34.992 abitanti secondo lo United States Census Bureau. È la settima città per popolazione dello stato americano del Kentucky. È la sede della sua contea. Originariamente era chiamato Libano quando fu fondato dal reverendo Elijah Craig e fu ribattezzato nel 1790 in onore del presidente George Washington. È la sede del Georgetown College, un college privato di arti liberali. Georgetown fa parte dell'area statistica metropolitana di Lexington-Fayette, KY. Un tempo la città fungeva da campo di addestramento per i Cincinnati Bengals della NFL. La crescita della città iniziò a metà degli anni '80, quando Toyota costruì la Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, il suo primo stabilimento interamente di proprietà negli Stati Uniti, a Georgetown.
