Geta is een gemeente van de autonome Finse eilandengroep Åland, gelegen in de Oostzee. De naam is mogelijk afgeleid van het Oudnoordse 'gäta' dat 'in de gaten houden' betekent. Waarschijnlijk omdat veehouders er vanuit hoge rotspunten het vee in de gaten konden houden.
