Christoph Willibald (von) Gluck (2 July 1714 - 15 November 1787) was a German composer, one of the most important opera composers of the Classical music era, particularly remembered for Orfeo ed Euridice. Gluck's operatic reforms, eliminating all that was undramatic, were a turning point in the history of the medium. Gluck (Londen, 13 augustus 1895 - Steyning, 10 januari 1978), geboren als Hannah Gluckstein, was een Engelse schilder van portretten, landschappen en bloemstillevens die tussen 1920 en 1940 zeer werden gewaardeerd. Gluck wordt tegenwoordig gezien als een van de eerste mensen die openlijk durfde te breken met gangbare genderpatronen. Aan het begin van de 21e eeuw werd het werk, en het onconventionele leven, van Gluck herontdekt.
