Grunta is a municipality and village in Kolín District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 100 inhabitants.
==Etymology== The name was derived from the German word Grund that used to mean 'valley'. The name appears in the oldest sources in Latin as vallis beatae virginis, i.e. 'valley of the Virgin Mary'.
