==Economy== Because of its good transport infrastructure – it has a railway station and a national highway (NH 206) – Gubbi is a major business hub for smaller neighboring villages and towns. It also has a Sanatana Dharma Centre called Chidambarashrama, which was founded in 1940 by the famous saint Sri Chidambara Swamiji.
