Haliyal is a town in Uttara Kannada in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the headquarters town for Haliyal Taluk. It can be classified as a main-road town.

The town is positioned about 103 kilometers east of Karwar, the district headquarters, and is well-connected by road to nearby cities such as Dharwad, Hubli, and Belgaum.
