Henri Emile Mossel, better known as Hans Mossel (Amsterdam, December 24th 1905 - Auschwitz, 4th August 1944) was a talented Dutch conductor, pianist, clarinet, saxophone, reed and drum musician. In 1923 he founded the Larense Jazz Band where he learned how to lead and conduct a jazz band. He came from a musical family and quickly made a name for himself so much so that in 1923 he made history when the Dutch broadcaster NSF (Nederlandsche Seintoestellen Fabriek) chose Hans Mossel to lead its fir
