Harold Adamson (December 10, 1906 - August 17, 1980) was an American lyricist during the 1930s and 1940s. Adamson, the son of Harold Adamson and Marion "Minnie" Campbell Adamson, was born in Garelochhead, Scotland, and immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island, arriving on the SS Californian on April 20, 1908. He was raised in Greenville, New Jersey, Adamson began writing songs and poetry as a teenager, but was initially more interested in an acting career. <a href="https://www.last.f
