Harpyie

The Harpy Eagle (*Harpia harpyja*) is a species of bird classified within the taxon *Harpia*. It is also referred to by the names Harpyie, Arpía mayor, and eryr cribog mawr. This organism has a wingspan of 188.5 and a mass of 7.5. Its egg incubation period lasts 56 days, and it has a litter size of 2. The species was described in the *Encyclopædia Britannica* 11th edition.

The Harpy Eagle is found in Brazil, South America, and Curuçá. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, a status recorded in 2021. Additionally, it is included in Appendix I of CITES. The species is not extinct and belongs to the class Aves.
