Fabricio Oberto recorded 22 points and 11 rebounds and Pichi Campana added 23 points off the bench as Atenas de Cordoba of Argentina knocked off Italian League power Benetton Treviso, 87-78, in the opening game of the McDonald's Championship in Paris. Steve Rich contributed 13 points and nine rebounds, while Steve Edwards netted 12 points for Atenas, which will meet Olympiakos Piraeus of Greece in a semifinal game on Friday. Atenas led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter and shot 51 percent (37-of-72) from the field. Henry Williams and Davide Bonora each tallied 15 points for Benetton, which will play for fifth place on Saturday. Denis Marconato added 13 points and 11 rebounds as the team was held to 42 percent (30-of-71) shooting.
