Le HMS E56 était un sous-marin britannique de classe E construit pour la Royal Navy par William Denny and Brothers à Dumbarton. Sa quille est posée le 1er décembre 1914, il est lancé le 19 juin 1916 et mis en service le 8 août 1916. Le HMS E56 a été vendu à la ferraille à Granton, Édimbourg, le 9 juin 1923.
