Reasons to Believe explores the latest scientific evidence supporting the truth of the Bible. Discover why faith and science go hand in hand.
reasons.org →At RTB, we believe scientific discovery and Scripture tell the same story. Through Christian apologetics, we show how STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine) and the Bible together reveal God as our creator. You may have noticed our fresh new design! Learn more about our updated brand and website. Our work is built on a firm foundation. Here are the core theological commitments that shape everything at Reasons to Believe. The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word—historically, scientifically, morally, and spiritually without error. It is our supreme and final authority in all matters it addresses, perfectly consistent with what he reveals in creation. The universe is God’s visible creation, declaring his existence, power, and glory. Nature and Scripture are two revelations from the same God. When understood correctly, they never contradict each other. We believe in one infinitely perfect, eternal God existing as three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—coequal in power, nature, and glory, and sharing equally the one divine nature. Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man. His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, burial, and bodily resurrection are the cornerstone of our faith. He now reigns at the right hand of the Father and will return in glory. Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, conquering sin, death, and Satan. His empty tomb and resurrection appearances are historically verified events—the ultimate vindication of who he is and why it matters. Redemption is solely a work of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, never by human merit. Christ bore the full penalty for sin, satisfying God’s justice and reconciling us to him. God created human beings uniquely in his image—distinct in kind from all other life, possessing inherent dignity and moral worth—both male (man) and female (woman). Though fallen through sin, we are redeemed and restored through faith in Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. We are called to go into all the world—using reason, science, and Scripture to proclaim the gospel, baptize, make disciples, and engage every person with gentleness and respect. Is the universe the product of chance . . . or design? This acclaimed documentary features Hugh Ross, Fazale Rana, Jeff Zweerink, and leading scientists and apologists as they present a compelling, evidence-based case for a Creator. The Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC features Fazale Rana in its Scripture and Science exhibit, where he explores the dynamic relationship between biochemistry, science, and faith. In his Christianity Today article, “How Black Holes Radiate God’s Glory,” Jeff Zweerink shares how the black hole paradox can teach Christians to “consider the heavens.” Premier Unbelievable? welcomes atheist Peter Atkins and RTB’s Hugh Ross as they engage in a lively discussion about the origins of the laws of nature—in God or in nothing? The well-known Babylon Bee Podcast dives deep with Jeff Zweerink into the metaverse. What’s it like living a virtual life—even being a member of a virtual church? We uphold Scripture as fully true and engage mainstream science with rigor and respect. We see both as complementary sources that together reveal God and strengthen faith. We welcome your tough questions and doubts as we engage in thoughtful, careful analysis of scientific facts alongside the inerrant truths of the Bible. From humble beginnings to a global ministry—four decades of showing the world that science and faith don’t just coexist, they point to the same truth. The visual identity that would represent RTB’s mission for decades made its debut. RTB formalized its commitment to equipping Christians through structured theological and scientific education. A global network of Christian academics and professionals united around RTB’s mission to engage the world with evidence-based faith. Biochemist and longtime RTB scholar Fazale Rana was announced
