Park Jin Young (박진영), also known as JYP, J.Y. Park or "The Asian Soul", is a pop and R&B singer, lyricist, composer and record producer from Seoul, South Korea. Park debuted in 1992 as part of the group Park Jin Young and the New Generation, but was not successful. After the release of their only album, Park debuted as a solo artist in 1994 with the album Blue City.
