Jacob Ebert (born 26 January 1549 in Sprottau; † February 5, 1614 in Frankfurt (Oder) was a German theologian and poet. The Latinized spelling of his name was Jacobus Ebertus. Ebert was, due to his talent for languages, known as the "Polyglottus". He was rector in Soldin, Schwiebus and Green Mountain. Since 1594 he was professor of theology in Frankfurt (Oder).
