Janne Svensson's disc debut took place in 1971 on the record label GM-Production with the album "Hej Hörrudu" which included twelve original songs. Over two years in the early 1970's, he was one of the trio Maximum with Bengt von Andreae and Liliane Håkansson. In the autumn of 1973 he had a minor hit with the single "Hem Till Söder," released on IMAS Records. In the following years, he supported himself as a troubadour with most original songs.
