Jo Ann Campbell, born 20th July 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA began attending music school at age 4, winning honors as a drum majorette at Fletcher High School. In 1954 she traveled Europe as a dancer, then to New York, where she joined the Johnny Conrad Dancers, making TV appearances on Milton Berle, Ed Sullivan and Colgate Comedy Hour.
