John Derbyshire (born June 3, 1945) is a British-American author and columnist. He writes for the magazines National Review Online and New English Review on a broad range of topics, including immigration, China, history, mathematics, culture, politics, and race. Derbyshire graduated from University College London, where he studied mathematics. His wife is originally from China and they have two children. While raised an Anglican, he no longer considers himself a Christian but rather a Mysterian
