Juliette Adam

Juliette Adam was a French writer, salonnière, novelist, and memoirist born Juliette Lambert in Verberie in 1836. She wrote in French and was a Catholic. Her literary output included essays and works such as *Schemes of the Kaiser*, *Nos Amitiés Politiques Avant l'Abandon de la Revanche*, *Nos mains dans la nuit*, and *Laide*. She also used the pseudonyms Juliette Lamber, Madame Adam, Mme La Messine, and Comte Paul Vassili.

Adam was a member of the Ligue de la Patrie Française. She lived to be a centenarian, dying in Callian in 1936. She is buried at Père Lachaise Cemetery. Her work has been described in sources including the *Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary* and the *Encyclopædia Britannica* 11th edition.
