Junas [ʒynas] est une commune française située dans le sud du département du Gard, en région Occitanie. Exposée à un climat méditerranéen, elle est drainée par le Vidourle, le Lissac, le ruisseau des Corbières et par un autre cours d'eau. La commune possède un patrimoine naturel remarquable : un site Natura 2000 (« le Vidourle ») et trois zones naturelles d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique. Junas est une commune rurale qui compte 1 129 habitants en 2019, après avoir connu une forte hausse de la population depuis 1968. Elle est dans l'unité urbaine de Sommières et fait partie de l'aire d'attraction de Nîmes. Ses habitants sont appelés les Junasols ou Junasoles. Le patrimoine architectural de la commune comprend un immeuble protégé au titre des monuments historiques : le mas de Christin, inscrit en 1985.
