June Antoinette Pointer Whitmore (November 30, 1953 – April 11, 2006) was an American Pop/R&B singer and was a founding member of the vocal group The Pointer Sisters. Born the youngest of six to minister parents, June shared a love for singing with her sisters. In 1969, she and sister Bonnie founded The Pointers - A Pair. June Antoinette Pointer Whitmore, née le 30 novembre 1953 à Oakland (Californie) et morte le 11 avril 2006 à Santa Monica (Californie), est une chanteuse américaine de pop/rhythm and blues. Elle est un membre fondateur du groupe vocal The Pointer Sisters dans les années 70 et 80. Elle a quitté le groupe en 2004 pour entamer une carrière solo. Elle est remplacée dans le groupe par sa nièce Issa. Elle est décédée le 11 avril 2006 à Santa Monica en Californie à 52 ans des suites d'un cancer causé par différents problèmes de drogues et d'alcool.
