Kenneth John Conant

Kenneth John Conant (1894–1984) was an American art historian, historian, and university teacher. Born in Neenah and educated at Harvard University, he served as a faculty member at the same institution. He was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Medieval Academy of America, and the American Philosophical Society.

Conant received the Guggenheim Fellowship and the Haskins Medal for his scholarly contributions. His notable works include *Mediaeval Academy excavations at Cluny*, *The history of romanesque Cluny as clarified by excavation and comparisons*, *La Chapelle Saint-Gabriel à Cluny*, *The third church at Cluny*, and *Sketches*. His writings are held in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. He died in Bedford.
