==Population== The population of the village was 149 at the time of the 1996 census. By the time of the 2002 census, the village had grown significantly, more than tripling in population to 518 inhabitants. The population recorded in the 2011 census shows Kildalkey then had a population of 663, a 28% increase from 2006. The census of 2016 showed a further rise in the population to 708.
