Kola Beldy (Кола Бельды) (real name: Nikolay Ivanovich Beldy) (May, 2 1929 - December, 21 1993) - famous Soviet, Russian singer of Nanai heritage was extremely popular during 50-80s. He was born in a small village in Khabarovsk region, near Soviet-Chinese border in the family of a hunter. His parents died early. Kola Beldy grew up in an orphanage which he escaped during the WWII. Served on a military ship in Pacific as a shipboy. Graduated from a musical college, worked in various military bands
