Kunar (Pashto: کونړ; Dari: کنر) is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the northeastern part of the country. Its capital is Asadabad also known as Chaghasray or Chaghan Saray (چغسري يا چغان سرای). The province has an estimated population of 544,839 people.
It is one of the four "N2KL" provinces (Nangarhar Province, Nuristan Province, Kunar Province and Laghman Province).
