Leea ist die einzige Gattung der Unterfamilie Leeoideae innerhalb der Pflanzenfamilie der Weinrebengewächse (Vitaceae). Die etwa 34 Arten sind im tropischen und subtropischen Asien weitverbreitet, ihre Areale reichen bis ins Himalayagebiet und Australien, zwei Arten kommen in Afrika und Madagaskar vor.
