Suomi as hell - celebrating individual freedom and the audacity to seize the moment since 1907. Suomi as hell - celebrating individual freedom and the audacity to seize the moment since 1907. Freedom and a carefree carpe diem attitude require trust. That is why our horologists play a crucial role in making sure our watches are up to par. Naturally movements enjoy the majority of our attention, but rest assured that we check and test each and every part and feature from strap to dial and indexes to buckles. This is how we can offer your Leijona watch a 2-year warranty. Leijona has been by far Finland’s most popular watch brand for over a century. It has accompanied us when we fought for freedom in the battlefields of the notorious Winter war, for victory on the Eurovision Song Contest stage, and for our first gold medal in Men’s Ice Hockey World Championships in Stockholm (1995, never forget). To this day we look to Leijona to clock our lap times and quarantines, to guide us through work weeks and wedding days. As a national brand that carries our national symbol, we have always represented what lies at the heart of Finnishness: the courage to own one’s time, take one’s space and stand proudly as our own true selves. That is why, first and foremost, we fly our flag for individual freedom and fearlessness – isn’t that Finnish grit at its best? Leijona watches combine deep-rooted Finnish straightforwardness with international trends in a unique way. This results in an interesting and diverse selection that features stylish watches to answer any wish or need. Instead of catering to the latest fashion craze, we invest in longevity and practicality. Not to downplay aesthetics of course. Perkko, the Finnish company manufacturing Leijona watches has been operating with the brand since 1919. Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh. ==History== The origins of the Leijona watches lie in the famous watchmaking valley of Val-de-Travers. Swiss trademark archives show that the unique lion with shield logo was first registered by watchmaker Albert Kenel & Co in December 1880 and continued by Manufacture d’Horlogerie Lion SA from 1892.
