Lenny Castro (born January 12, 1950) is a South African/American percussionist based primarily in the Los Angeles area. His nickname is 'The Specialist'. He graduated from LaGuardia in 1974. He went to work in a shop full of percussion instruments. A little later, Melissa Manchester was looking for a percussionist and called the shop. Castro went on tour with Manchester (circa 1975).
